Bachata
Term is six lessons in length and will give you a grounding in connecting to a dance partner, musical timing, fundamental technique, posture and even musicality.
The basics to the dance are three steps with a Cuban hip motion, followed by a tap which can include a hip movement also on the 4th beat.
It is danced worldwide because it is a fun and easy-to-learn dance with a sensual touch.
Salsa

Salsa is a popular form of social dance with Salsa variations from across the world and countries becoming popular. Cali, Cuban or Dominican just to name a few.

Heels Dance
& Floorwork
The best classes to work on your sass and fierceness while focusing on technique and exploring your sensual side.
This class is suitable for all levels and heels aren’t compulsory. Class will cover basic, technique, expression and how to build your confidence in heels.
Incorporating Latin Dance Movements with other dance genre such as contemporary and modern as well as including floor and base level acrobatic movements.
Beginners
If you have never danced before. This is the best class to start you off with correct technique. You will learn the basics of Bachata, Salsa and Merengue. As well as how to listen to the music and dance with musicality. You will learn the basics in dancing by yourself and how to do simple shines and styling and then how to dance with a partner and incorporate all your movements as well as simple turns and transitions. Giving you the skills to help your social dancing feel more comfortable.
After this course you will then be able to choose which style you prefer and can progress to the next level of dance for example Salsa 1.

I joined Gladstone Salsa as an extra curricular activity to get fit earlier this year. I went along to my first class, Bachata (lady style) with no experience and two left feet. Alejandra is the most patient instructor. She takes the time to clearly explain the choreography. Her zest and passion for this style of dance is infectious. Gladstone Salsa is a wonderful place to express your creativity with like minded people. I have made some wonderful connections through attending classes and monthly social events! I implore any one to have a go, no matter your gender, body size or dancing ability. You won’t regret it..
