So you’ve put your name down for your first class, but what now?

Every first time we feel nervous, but there is nothing to worry about, our staff is here to help and get you moving comfortably and they will make sure you have an amazing time.

I’VE NEVER DANCED BEFORE AND HAVE TWO LEFT FEET - IS THIS FOR ME?


Yes absolutely, there is nothing to worry about we have all been there, we have a variety of classes that will be on the level that suits you best. Everyone is welcome.   We can even do private lessons until you build your confidence to join our main groups. 

DO I NEED TO BRING A DANCE PARTNER?

No, but If you would like to definitely, they are more than welcome to come. We use the rotation method so everyone will get a chance to dance with everyone that way we learn together and improve quicker. 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Something that you are comfortable wearing, the most important thing is that you can move freely in and train those moves. 

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

10 minutes before the scheduled class start time would be perfect as it allows enough time to get organised for class.

WHAT IS HEELS DANCE?

Heels Dance is taking the world by storm.  This dance class is all about empowerment.  We offer a safe, supportive environment for everyone to feel confident and beautiful through self-expression and combining your body, mind and soul through dance.  You will learn how to feel sexy, sassy and free to be confident in your own body.    Building your inner Queen and discovering your own style of Sexy.

Heels Dance Class is for anyone needing some "me time".   Any age, experience, body shape or dance ability is welcome.   It is great fitness, awesome fun, and unapologetically positive and uplifting.   If you want to try something different, feel free to dance without judgement, then this class is for you.

WHAT TO WEAR TO HEELS CLASS?

Heels Dance is a mix of genre incorporating Latin with modern sexy styles.   You will be walking as well as moving on and around the floor.  So wearing something you feel free and comfortable in to move easily.   After a few classes you may want to start to wear something a little more sassy to experiment with.  Leggings, loose pants, even fish net stockings or tights all work well.   You will need to invest in dance knee pads as well to protect your joints for higher level classes. 

Bring along a Yoga mat as well to classes for floor work training and stretching.

WHAT HEELS DO I WEAR ? Heels Dance requires a non-platform shoe.  It needs to be firm so that your foot will not move or slide around or come off.  You may like to start in runners or socks at first, then progress to a lower heel like a 3" block heel then move to a 4" narrower heel.  We do recommend lace up ankle boots as they provide the best support and are the most adjustable.    You need to walk and own it, so starting low at first it best.
